摘要

Faced with “a lot of homework” resulting from storm-related state legislation expected to pass in the Texas Capitol by the end of May, the Public Utility Commission plans to meet weekly in June, mostly in a workshop format with no formal votes likely to be taken. “It looks like the Legislature is heading down some really new ground that’s not well ploughed in terms of direction for the commission, so I think it’s fair to say we’re going to have a lot of homework coming up,” Commissioner Will McAdams said during the May 21 PUC meeting. The Texas Legislature had 34 bills related to the deadly mid- February winter storm that resulted in about 4 million Texas customers without electricity for several days.
