摘要

Cash prices for holiday weekend flows were mixed in Friday trading, with regional demand projected to decrease while outflows increase. Most spot prices in the Northeast settled within 5 cents in either direction of the previous day’s settlement. There were several notable exceptions that saw larger day-on-day swings, including Iroquois Zone 2, which shed 16.50 cents to settle at $1.27/MMBtu. Total regional demand was projected to fall nearly 700 MMcf/d on Saturday to 12.57 Bcf/d and remain below 13 Bcf/d throughout the holiday weekend, according to S&P Global Platts Analytics data. Decreases in both gas-fired power demand and residential/commercial gas demand for heating were expected to drive the lower demand.
