The NYMEX February gas futures contract slid 4.3 cents Thursday tosettle at $2.077/MMBtu amid a stronger-than-expected withdrawal report from the US Energy Information Administration.The front-month contract moved between $2.071/MMBtu and$2.170/MMBtu. Prices gained more than 2 cents earlier in the day, likelyon the back of the bullish withdrawal report.“Prices are seeing a bounce back based on colder-than-normalweather coming next week and larger-than-expected withdrawalreleased [Thursday],” said Daniel Myer, an analyst at Gelber &Associates.
