West cash prices weaken as temperatures retreat to seasonal norms

US West natural gas spot prices continued to come off from recent highs for the second consecutive session Friday, as temperatures return to seasonal norms. Northwest Wyoming Pool shed 33 cents on the day to $2.53/MMBtu while Colorado Interstate Gas Mainline declined 13 cents to $2.07/ MMBtu for flows over the weekend through Monday. The National Weather Service forecast shows average temperatures of 50 degrees in Seattle while Los Angeles is expected to average 67 degrees Saturday through Monday in line with five-year average for the same time.
