PJM West Hub spot prices fall $1.75 despite higher demand, spot gas

Mid-Atlantic and Midcontinent power dailies were weaker Monday with mixed power demand projections and higher spot gas prices. In the PJM footprint, PJM West Hub on-peak day-ahead shed $1.75 to trade in the low $30s/MWh for Tuesday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange, even as spot gas at Texas Eastern M-3 added 10 cents to around $2.440/MMBtu.
