East Texas, Southeast hubs shed nearly 50 cents as prices track demand

Spot prices Wednesday for Thursday's gas flow have all pricing locations in Texas and the Southeast back below the $3/MMBtu mark as total demand in both regions stands 28% below last year’s levels, down an average of 12.8 Bcf/d to 33.1 Bcf/d, according to S&P Global Platts Analytics data. Henry Hub, the Louisiana benchmark, dropped 43.5 cents to trade at $2.79/MMBtu, maintaining status as the premium hub in the regions. Henry Hub last traded below $3/MMBtu September 28, when it hit $2.99/MMBtu.
