Germany affirms new trends in renewables policies

Germany, the world’s leading market for renewablenenergy, has ended months of speculation about thenfuture of its renewables policies by approvingncomprehensive energy legislation that overhauls feed-inntariff payments. The Bundestag approved a revisednrenewable energy law, known as the EEG, with newnpremium feed-in payment rates for electricity from wind,nhydropower, solar, bioenergy and geothermal plants.
