Oncor lays out electricity storage plan for Texas

Texas utility Oncor Electric Delivery unveiled in November a framework for cost-effectively incorporating thousands of megawatts of energy storage capacity in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, and doing so without any subsidies and without changing the competitive nature of ERCOT’s energy-only market. Oncor, the largest transmission and distribution utility in ERCOT, did not propose any specific plan to install a certain amount of energy storage capacity.
