摘要

There is "no reason to be nervous" about gas supplies to the EU in the short term, EU energy commissioner Gunther Oettinger said two days after Russia cut supplies to Ukraine. "If storage is not filled [over the summer], and we have a cold winter, then we have some concerns," he said. Using gas from storage will be the EU's immediate response in the event of any shortages, EU gas supplier association Eurogas said June 19. Other immediate options include importing LNG, increasing gas output in the EU and Norway, and rerouting some Russian gas supplies away from Ukraine and through other pipelines to the EU.
