Japan’s Kyushu Electric Power Co. said October 21 that thern890 MW No. 2 reactor at its Sendai power plant hadrnstarted generating and transmitting power at 11 am localrntime (0200 GMT). The No. 2 reactor, which follows thernrestart of the No. 1 unit at the same plant in August, is thernsecond nuclear reactor in Japan to connect to the electricityrngrid following the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011.
