European gas producers see hope for LNG in trucking

With diesel in the dog-house over its environmentalcredentials and electrification seemingly better suited tocars and lighter-duty trucks, heavy-duty truckmanufacturers and users are increasingly looking at LNG asan alternative fuel. Current demand for LNG in trucking isdifficult to quantify, but S&P Global Platts estimates EUconsumption at about 70,000 mt/year – the equivalent ofone large cargo of LNG, or around 0.1 Bcm of gas.
