UPS take further steps into e-trucking

E-trucking – potentially the mostserious threat to future oil demand –took a step forward in February withthe announcement by US logisticscompany UPS that it plans to deploy50 plug-in electric delivery trucks thatwill be comparable in acquisition costto conventional-fueled trucks withoutsubsidies. Reaching the point ofequivalent cost is seen as keymoment for large-scale fleet adoption.The company is collaborating withWorkhorse Group, Inc. to design thevehicles from the ground up.
