EDF, Enel plan four EPRs

Electricite de France and Enel are to set up a joint venture company to carry out feasibility studies to build "at least four" European pressurized reactor nuclear power plants in Italy, the companies said August 3. The 50/50 venture, named Sviluppo Nucleare Italia, will develop the feasibility studies set out in an agreement signed by the companies at a Franco-Italian summit in Rome February 24. Company HQ will be in Rome.
