The government and energy demand management agency Ademe reached agreement October 6 on a €50 million/yr smart grid demonstration program over 2010-2014. The level of support will decrease over the period, starting at 80% of project cost for the first release of funds, dropping to 40% for the second, then 20%, then 15% and finally 11.7%. It is anticipated that the total amount will over the full period be equal to 40% of the total investment cost of the projects financed.
