Eneco wins SDE funds, drops challenge

Eneco has dropped its legal challenge against the Dutch government's offshore wind awards process after it was itself awarded nearly €1 billion in state funding for a wind farm in the North Sea, Eneco spokesman Marcel van Dun said November 8. On November 4 Eneco was awarded up to €989 million from the Netherlands' SDE sustainable energy budget to support 15 years' operation at a 129-MW offshore wind farm 23-km off the Dutch coast at Noordwijk.
