Putin builds Hungarian bridges

The visit of Russian president Vladimir Putin to Hungary on February 27-28 brought some expected statements on potential energy industry cooperation, but also a few surprises. In the latter category was Putin's statement suggesting that the Blue Stream project, which brings Russian gas to Turkey through a pipeline under the Black Sea, could be extended northwards, through Romania and Hungary to Austria.
