Germany awards 83-MW of cogeneration contracts at Eur56.40/MWh

Germany has awarded subsidized contracts to 83 MW of combinedheat and power capacity in an oversubscribed tender, grid regulatorBNetzA said June 17.Some 13 conventional projects for around 58 MW were awardedsupport in the bi-annual tender for small to medium-sized projects. Inall, 16 projects for 112 MW total capacity had submitted bids.The average price in the pay-as-bid auction was Eur56.40/MWh($67.13/MWh).
