摘要

Electric utilities railed against legislation aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 70% that heads to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee after a subcommittee narrowly approved it last week, in the first-ever congressional committee vote on a GHG emissions mandate. The measure, the Lieberman-Warner bill, now covers emissions from natural gas-fueled facilities and includes changes in how the power sector is credited for its emissions.
