Landmark extraction apparatus and landmark extraction method

A landmark-extracting device has an input device, a memory device, a data-converting device, and a landmark position-estimating device. The input device measures a human body to be measured, on which main landmark positions are marked, by a three-dimensional scanner and acquires human body shape data of the human body to be measured together with data of the main landmark positions. The memory device has, in its memory, data of a standard human body shape and all landmark position data given to the standard human body shape data. The data-converting device reads the standard human body shape data and the landmark position data, and performs data conversion processing between the standard human body shape data and the landmark position data, deforming the standard human body shape to approximate it to the measured human body shape. The landmark position-estimating device estimates landmark positions other than the main landmark positions of the human body to be measured, the estimation made from land mark positions of data of the deformed standard human body shape when the landmark positions given to the standard human body shape data by the data conversion processing correspond to the main land mark positions within a predetermined range.
