Idaho Power, PacifiCorp move ahead with $1.2 billion transmission project

Idaho Power and PacifiCorp are launching the permitting process for the ambitious $1.2 billion, 650-mile Gateway West transmission project that will move power between southern Idaho and eastern Wyoming. A public stakeholder meeting on November 13 in Boise will explain details about the 500-kV project that was announced in May and could be energized in 2012, the utilities said.
