摘要

Moody's Investors Service and Standard & Poor's Ratings last week maintained stable outlooks on CenterPoint Energy and its major units despite disclosure that Hurricane Ike restoration costs are now expected to be $650 million to $750 million -almost double the preliminary $350 million to $500 million estimated back on September 23. "CenterPoint Energy and CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric [the transmission and distribution electric utility unit] continue to believe they have sufficient liquidity to finance storm restoration costs until ultimate recovery, while at the same time carrying out current business plans," the company said in an October 8 Form 8-K.
