Sunoco files complaint against Toledo Edison, claims utility not honoring parts of contract

FirstEnergy and Sunoco, one of its largest industrial customers, are in disagreement over terms of a special contract originally signed more than a decade ago. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Sunoco told Ohio regulators in a complaint filed against FirstEnergy's Toledo Edison subsidiary last week that monthly electric bills at its Oregon, Ohio, oil refinery will nearly double at the end of February, and the plant placed at a competitive disadvantage to a nearby refinery operated by rival BP, if the special contract is not honored.
