New Jersey senate committee approves bill to expedite offshore wind development

The New Jersey Senate Environment and Energy Committee nlast Monday unanimously approved a wind energy bill introduced nfour days earlier. A corresponding bill was introduced in the nGeneral Assembly the day the Senate committee passed the bill.nSources in the industry said the sponsors’ intent is to have nthe bill approved by June 30. Stephen Sweeney, president of the nSenate, is the primary sponsor (S. 2036).
