Construction to start on A6 Randalstown to Castledawson scheme this year

Work on the Moneynick section of the A6 is expected to start later this year. Transport Minister Michelle Mcllveen has announced. A total of 14kilometres of new dual carriageway will be constructed as part of the scheme. This will be in two sections: 7.3kilometres from the end of the M22 at Randalstown to the Toome Bypass; and 6.7kilometres from Toome Bypass to the Castledawson roundabout. The total cost of this project is expected to cost around £130million.
