The largest natural gas pipeline in the Western Hemisphere - the 56-inch Cross Island Pipeline Project for the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC), is in its final stages of construction. The contractor, Bechtel International, encountered a number of challenges during the construction phase of the project. As one could imagine, buoyancy control for such a large diameter pipeline is significant, A Canadian company, PipeSak Incorporated, played a significant role in helping Bechtel to simplify some difficult areas of terrain on the project.
