If you ever have the opportunity to hear Brad Livingston tell his story, (carefully) drop whatever you're doing and go listen. It is an unforgettable experience, one that will leave you amazed by what the human spirit can accomplish against all odds, and on a much more conscious level, one that will teach you to never take anything for granted.rnBrad is a 49-year-old dispatcher for Colorado Interstate Gas - his employer of 27 years - and lives in Elkhart, KS.rnHis story begins on Sept. 20, 1991 when, as a welder's helper, he and the senior welder were fixing pinhole leaks in two storage tanks for drip gas, which is similar to gasoline. The senior welder had just finished repairing the first tank and had moved on to the second when Brad, standing eight feet away, heard a sound within the tank that indicated to him that it would explode.
