The finite-size effect in the quasi-one-dimensional (quasi-1D) Heisenberg model was studied by using a Monte Carlo simulation. As a result, a marked finite-size effect was found with decreasing interchain interaction. Aside from the well-known three- to one-dimensional crossover, a size-driven three- to two-dimensional crossover at a crossover anisotropy, depending on the interchain to intrachain interaction ratio and the system size, was revealed to be the origin of the finite-size effect.
