摘要

In this paper we propose the transparent-component-decimation (TCD) method to study the optical transmission normally through aperiodic superlattices. Comparing with the conventional trace and antitrace-map technique, the TCD method may simplify the aperiodic sequences to the simplest form and one can obtain the transmissive characteristics without complicated calculations. Applying this method to two kinds of binary aperiodic superlattices, we obtain directly the formulas of the transmission coefficients (TCs) at the central wavelength. The results are in accord with previously published results. It shows that the TCD method is powerful for the investigation of optical transmission through aperiodic multilayers.
