Defendants contend Valmont partners fail to produce insurance coverage information despite court order

Defendants Virginia C. Love and SunTrust Bank as executors of the estate of W. Frank Hutcheson asked the federal court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on Feb.19 to deny the Valmont partners' motion to quash the production of insurance coverage information related to the Valmont Industrial Park site in Hazle Township, Luzerene County. The defendants contend that the claims of Valmont partners Alan Shulman, Stanley Siegel, Alan Cherenson, James Cochran, and Joseph Byrnes are time-barred for lack of diligence in investigating them. The partners seek more than $8.6 million in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency response costs and future costs against the parties that used the property.
