NL Industries asserts Old Bridge in liable as property owner for lead slag contamination at Raritan Bay site

NL Industries Inc. contended on June 23 that no discovery is necessary to establish Old Bridge Township's CERCLA and New Jersey Spill Act liability as a matter of law as owner for response/cleanup and removal costs from the release of lead-bearing slag particles used to construct a seawall and refurbish a jetty in Laurence Harbor at the Raritan Bay Slag Superfund Site (RBS). The case is in federal court for the District of New Jersey.
