International Paper Co. and Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Group contended on March 9 that the "expert opinion" of a former general counsel for Rexam Corp. is not admissible in litigation over the Crown Vantage Superfund Site because it is based on his "specialized knowledge and experience" as a lawyer and is not, as claimed, a lay opinion.
