This book tells you how to communicate between wired machines and between other networks and mobile devices through .Net Framework 2.0. In six chapters the author tells you all specific aspects of network programming. This book helps you build a variety of networking apps like Bluetooth, RFID to sockets pro-gramming, and chat servers by using var-ious APIs within .Net Framework as well as third-party SDKs. The first chapter tells you about Socket programming and about building a chat app that works similar to Windows Live messengers using TCP/IP. In the next chapter you learn how to communicate with other serial devices using the new Serial Port class available in the .NET Framework 2.0 and the .NET Compact Framework 2.0. Chapter 3 shows you how to use GrFinger Fingerprint SDK to integrate Microsoft Fingerprint Reader into your .NET 2.0 Windows app. Chapter 4 is about infrared Programming, which tells you how to build an app that allows two devices to communicate wirelessly using Infrared.
