Overview of China's paper Industry

In the last decade China's paper industry has received over US$1 billion from international financial institutions, foreign gov-ernments and direct foreign investment into the pulp and paper industry, which has resulted in over 100 joint ventures. China has become one of the largest countries that lead the world's paper consumption, production and import. This tendency will continue to be reinforced in 2004 and the years beyond by its considerable 7% GDP annual growth rate.
