Mike Fallon and Frits Beurskens reinforce Sappi's board

The global pulp and paper producer Sappi (SAP), recently announced two new independent non-executive directors joining the board following the retirement of Helmut Mamsch in December 2010. This is conducted inline with Sappi's succession planning. Mike Fallon, president of the group's global automotive division, will join the board in September 2011. The British national is an executive director of the Tokyo-listed Nippon Sheet Glass Company Limited (NSG Group), one of the world's largest manufacturers of glass and glazing products forthe building, automotive and specialty glass sectors. With experience in management and leadership ranging from plant management, sales and marketing and supply chain to general management, Fallon has broad exposure of the industry.
