Taking a patient focus for UDI implementation

In the medical device world, Unique Device Identification, or UDI, is an ongoing topic of discussion at many industry events. Not all medical device supply chain shareholders, however, are on the same page when it comes to implementing UDI as a means of identifying devices through their distribution and usage. The good news is that more medical device firms at all supply chain levels are realizing there are indeed benefits to UDII-not just for their internal processes, but also for patients.
