The device (1) has a focused ultrasound producing device for producing focused ultrasound of high intensity. A magnet resonance system (2) produces examination images composed of a voxel, where the images have temperature information. The geometry of the voxel is adapted to a form of a ultrasonic focus. The voxel with the ultrasound focus is formed in a shape of a cuboid, where a longest side of the voxel is aligned parallel to a longest centerline of the ultrasonic focus. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing examination images with a magnet resonance system.
