A new, direct in-line industrial printing solution for the massive reels of paper and board manufactured by the forest products industry in SA has been introduced by Square One Solutions Group.rnThe C6000V and C6000i printers within Domino's C-Series Plus range provide particularly good resolution 'belt or belly' direct printing of barcoding, production, batch, identification, paper type, grammage, unwind direction, weight and tracking data around the centre of the upright wrapped paper or board reel, explains Ted Michel, the company's spokesperson. 'Other information on A-3 size labels can be placed at the reel ends using the Domino M-Series print-and-apply equipment, and so reels can be clearly identified from every direction,' he says. 'For paper producers exporting reels, clear identification is most important as reels on which barcodes cannot be read are usually rejected at the docks.'
