摘要

N-Nitrosodimethylamine is potentially carcinogenic to humans. Herein, the effect of wavelength on the UV-degradation of N-nitrosodimethylamine is reported. Medium pressure UV lamp light was filtered by four optical filters and compared with low pressure UV. The degradation rate was the highest in the 230-270 nm wavelength range (7.2 cm2/J) and was nearly three times greater than that observed with low-pressure UV (2.6 cm2/J). Quantum yield was calculated to be 0.42, 1.5 times higher than that observed with low-pressure UV (0.28).
