BP sells Texas refinery; cites progress on safety

BP announced earlier this month that it has completed the sale of its Texas City refinery to Marathon Petroleum Corporation for an estimated $2.4 billion. The facility will be renamed Galveston Bay Refinery. It was the site of the 2005 explosion and fire that killed 15 workers and injured dozens more.
