Potencial y limitaciones de las redes en el sector de la salud y del bienestar: el ejemplo de la Red Quebequense de Ciudades y Municipios Saludables (RQCMS)

This article presents the Quebec Network of Healthy Cities and Towns (QNHCT) as an example to discuss the broader utility of networks as health promoting agents. The word « network » is commonly used in various sectors, especially health. The literature on networks in general is extensive (Hyland 2003), and that on methods to evaluate different networks'characteristics (Newman, Watts et al., 2002) has also duplicated in the past years. What makes this form of association such a hot topic of interest, not only in relation to individuals and health networks (Kaskutas, Bond et al. 2002; Zunzunegui, Alvarado et al. 2003), but also regarding internal relations inside organizations (Mur-Veeman, Hardy et al. 2003; Thurston, Scott et al. 2003) and communities (Duhl 2000; Webb, Hawe et al. 2001)?%La palabra «red» forma parte del vocabulario común en muchos sectores, especialmente en la salud.
