Thank you all for attending this conference, particularly to those of you who've come from overseas. It is an important gathering and I believe it is highly symbolic that we are holding it in London. It is a city that, to paraphrase my namesake, Samuel Johnson, offers as much of life as the world can show.rnThree hundred languages are spoken in a city that hosts four world heritage sites, the largest collection of modern art and the busiest airport in the world. There are few places that can compete with London either as a cultural or economic centre.
