摘要

The quantum opportunity program (QOP) offered mentoring, educational services, and financial rewards to low-performing high school students during the four years of high school (plus one additional year in case students fell behind one grade). Though regarded successful in short term evaluation, the long term effects of the program has been debatable. The paper presents short-, medium-and longer-term findings from a randomized evaluation of QOP on four key outcomes viz., high school, postsecondary education, labor market, and risky behaviors. The results are presented for the whole sample and separately for females and males. (28 refs.)
