The Horizon Report and Information Literacy

The "Horizon Report: 2018 Higher Education Edition" (Samantha Adams Becker, Malcolm Brown, Eden Dahlstrom, Annie Davis, Kristi DePaul, Veronica Diaz, and Jeffrey Pomerantz, EDUCAUSE, 2018; library.educause.edu/~/media/ files/library/2018/8/2018horizonreport.pdf) came out last August. A product of the New Media Consortium and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative, the Horizon Report is an ongoing set of 5-year projections related to education technology. Encouragingly, the report's uncomfortable relationship with information literacy has shown some improvement compared to previous editions, although the development is minimal.
