Trucking firm Kenan Advantage Group Inc. has inked an agreement with California marketer Coast Oil whereby it will take over the company's fuel delivery operations, KAG already delivers to Coast's more than 100 dealers in Northern California. KAG will also purchase Coast's private fleet, consisting of six truck and trailer units. The agreement goes into effect Oct. 1. "We will always do whatever it takes to keep our customers supplied with product, and this partnership is just another way to solidify that promise," said Mark Mitchell, owner of Coast. "By aligning ourselves with KAG, we significantly enhance our economies of scale with access to over 5,000 drivers, 3,100 power units and numerous terminal facilities throughout California."rnCoast is one of the largest marketers in Northern California, with more than 875,000 gallons of above-ground storage. It also has 30,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and office space, part of which KAG will lease in order to manage the newly acquired transportation operations.
