TEPPCO plows ahead with fuel terminal plans; start-up delayed 1 year

TEPPCO will build three refined products and biofuels terminals in Tennessee despite lower demand prospects, but at least one of the projects was pushed back to 2011 from 2010. Construction plans have been submitted for a 260,000-bbl storage terminal at Clarksville and a 220,000-bbl terminal at Clifton. The site of the third terminal has yet to be finalized.rnAll facilities will have refined products and biofuels, although the Clifton site won't have ethanol. All three terminals were originally scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2010 but documents for the Clifton plant mention a start time of spring 2011. The Clarksville terminal will receive products from TEPPCO's 500,000-bbl Boligee, Ala., terminal, which opened in July 2008.
