Typically after a storm hits and has an impact on supply infrastructure, the first couple of weeks mean tough sledding for marketers, but after the smoke clears margins usually go on a strong run. Marketers appear to be entering that post-storm period in which margins improve greatly, and that trend is likely to continue based strictly on seasonality. Margins may get juiced well into October as gasoline prices continue to come off.
