Merchant/consumer app GetUpside just forged its largest alliance with fuel users, announcing a partnership with drivers and delivery people on the Uber platform. More than 2.5 million Uber drivers are eligible to take advantage of the 28,000 or so c-stores that are participants in the GetUpside benefits. The initial promotion, funded by GetUpside, allows for drivers to get 35cts/gal back on the first two fill-ups, provided they are first-time users. After that introductory offer, the drivers can get back up to 25cts/gal for fill-ups thereafter. Savings inside participating c-stores can run up to 22% of merchandise list prices.
