How TXB boosts worker retention

Human resources experts have said your current employees can be your best source of additional good workers, and convenience store chain TXB Stores set up a bonus program to encourage employees to recruit their friends. TXB implemented the referral program at the end of 2020, paying $500 for each employee referral -- $250 on the new worker’s hiring date and $250 after 90 days on the job, said Nathan Graham, director of human resources for TXB, speaking at a recent NACS webinar. “It’s a huge win,” said Graham. “These people were brought in by people who enjoy their job. They (the existing employees) have an interest in them (the new hires) working out.”
