Marathon asks EPA for 10% ethanol cap

EPA must set its 2020 renewable fuel blending target at alevel that will guarantee the volume of ethanol blended intogasoline is 10% or less and should hold to its determinationthat volumes waived through small-refinery exemptions(SREs) cannot be reallocated, the country’s largest refinerhas told the agency.In comments it submitted on the agency’s proposed 2020Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO), Marathon Petroleumsaid the 10%-by-volume limit must include all sources of thebiofuel, including corn, advanced and cellulosic ethanol.
