M&A: Superior Plus purchase grows its New York footprint

Superior Plus Corp. has inked an agreement to acquiresubstantially all of the propane distribution assets of NewYork independent distributor Phelps Sungas Inc. and BMKof Geneva Inc., the Toronto-based energy distribution andspecialty chemicals company said Tuesday.The roll-up deal is the first for Superior in 2019 andfollows six acquisitions completed in 2018. The Phelps dealis expected to close during the second quarter of 2019.According to Superior, it is the largest propane distributor inCanada and the fourth-largest in the U.S.
